Río Caribe is a type of Trinitario cocoa which has been a bulwark of Venezuelan cocoa production since colonial times. It is a long and coarse grain, high in fruit acids and subtle earth tones. It is an ideal cross between the delicate Criollo-type cacao of western Venezuela and the sturdy Forastero-type cacao from the Amazon basin, of which Venezuela is also a part. A true classic.
In the respective technical sheet, the most relevant characteristics of the Cacao Rio Caribe are described for commercial purposes. The results obtained refer to the standard average behavior of this material during different years. To this end, a series of sampling and post-harvest studies have been carried out, including a screening panel, the information disseminated in this report is purely technical.
